Our 2007 Rosé exhibits the ripe and rich fruit the vintage offered. It offers a round and full palate, with a refreshing finish. This Rosé explodes with fruit, and will compliment any summer activity.
The 2007 vintage was warm and dry during the first, with rain coming later. We harvested the majority of our fruit prior to the rains, which resulted in nice ripe fruit with an excellent profile.
Pinot Noir for this Rosé was harvested on September 24 from young vines on the western slopes of our vineyards.
Our Rosé was made as a combination of two traditional styles: pressing half the Pinot grapes immediately and fermenting the juice in steel at 50 degrees for 10 weeks; and by cold soaking the other half for 4 days, pressing and fermenting the juice. The two separate lots were later combined to make the resulting Rosé.
Lots of ripe strawberries and red cherries fill the aromatics leading into a dense, ripe red fruit filled palate. A soft and round palate leads into a pleasant and refreshing finish.
